The CarlyMarie Project – Day 5

Journal

I don’t do a lot of journaling in the traditional form.  I think of way I express my thoughts and grief through things like Facebook, Twitter, and my Pink Lemoande blog.  I don’t blog often and I really think the CarlyMarie Project has allowed me time to reflect without the worry of others frowning upon my actions.  I have so much that I could blog about but I don’t add many new posts for fear of others getting upset or into trouble.  I have found those type of thoughts are best written on paper and then crumpled and thrown in the trash.  It is absolutely therapeutic to “throw away” those papers and “let go” of how I feel.

When it comes to letters to Clara, I just can’t write them.  I say a prayer and have no troubles doing that.  For myself and my kids, we find that sending a short message to Heaven on a balloon is the best thing for us.  A simple “I love you and miss you” is what I share when I can.

"Much of the time we are transfixed by all the ways we can reflect ourselves out into the world and barely find the time to reflect back deeply in our own selves."
